Tub Pirates — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

Tub Pirates is a naval battle game for iPhone and iPad. We designed it to collect as little data as possible. We do not track you, we do not show ads, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Anonymous gameplay analytics (TelemetryDeck)

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand which parts of the game are used (for example, how many battles are played). TelemetryDeck receives a one-way hashed device identifier and anonymous event data. This data is never linked to your identity and is not used for tracking or advertising. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Anonymous Analytics inside the game.

In-app purchases (RevenueCat / Apple)

Doubloon purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and deliver what you bought. RevenueCat receives purchase receipt information and an anonymous app-generated identifier — never your name, email, or payment details, which stay with Apple.

Game Center (Apple)

Online multiplayer, leaderboards, and achievements use Apple's Game Center. Your Game Center player ID and alias are used to match you with opponents and display results. Game Center is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

What we don't do

Data retention

Your game progress (profile, doubloons, unlocked items) is stored on your device. Anonymous analytics are retained by TelemetryDeck in aggregate form. Deleting the app removes your local game data.

Children's privacy

Tub Pirates does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. All analytics are anonymous. In-game chat is limited to a fixed set of preset phrases — players cannot type or send free-form messages to each other.

Changes

If our data practices change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
